The Need for a New Approach
After starting her career in rural family medicine in Ontario, Dr. Clouthier soon realized that the conventional medical system wasn’t good for her patients' health or her own.
“With unreasonable demands to see 30+ patients per day, I had little time to get to the heart of patients' concerns, and no time or energy left at the end of the day to take care of myself,” reflected Dr. Clouthier.
“I knew this wasn’t sustainable. And I saw how my patients were also creating unsustainable work and lifestyle situations for themselves.”
So, when a new opportunity opened up at an Alberta clinic, Dr. Clouthier jumped at it. The clinic served many high-level leaders and prided itself on extended physician visits and preventative care – exactly the focus she wanted. And yet, while she had more time to understand patient’s issues, she realized there were still situations that her conventional medical training did not adequately prepare her for.
Stepping Beyond the Status Quo
Then in 2017, Dr. Clouthier sustained a traumatic injury that stopped her in her tracks. It became crystal clear through this experience that she wanted more for herself and her patients than the status quo. Since this accident, she’s become obsessed with learning how to optimize mental and physical health.

Raise the Bar & Own Your Health
"I reached out to Sarah in 2022 to raise the bar on my health from a holistic perspective. I appreciated the time and genuine care that she took to truly understand my medical profile. As a result, I have been putting my health back on the top of my priority list. Sarah really gave me the holistic approach that I needed to own my health."
